This activity will:  

• Encourage you to begin to think about what constitutes a policy vision, and to relate this thinking back to the context of your country.

• Give you a sense of your current understanding of key issues relating to policy development.

• Function as a general ice-breaker, providing you an opportunity to share some preliminary ideas and get to know each other, as well as a little bit about each other's country contexts.

• Introduce an activity 'theme' of developing national policy that will be continued throughout the course.
